Olamide Alao-Akala, a Nigerian businesswoman and entrepreneur, is the CEO of Conglomerates Umera Farms. Born into a family with a strong and politically active background, she hails from Oyo State, Nigeria. Growing up, she witnessed firsthand the importance of public service and the need for sustainable development in her community. Her acquaintances with entrepreneurship at very young age played a pivotal role in what would later carve an identity “Iya Laje” a cognomen translated to “Business Woman” which she was popularly called during her secondary and university years.

Driven by a passion for agriculture and a desire to make a difference, Olamide Alao-Akala embarked on a journey to revolutionize the agricultural sector in Nigeria. Equipped with resolute determination, insightful understanding, and an optimistic outlook for the future, she embarked on a project to start Umera Farms, an enterprise aimed at advancing sustainable agricultural methods and augmenting food sovereignty., Umera Leadership school, and Real Estate.

She is a shareholder in numerous companies and serves on the board of Olowolagba Microfinance Bank. Olamide is the chairman and manager of TDB Global Ventures, a company with a variety of business interests, including downstream oil and gas, agriculture, etc.
She has played a crucial role in the company’s rapid expansion. Additionally, Olamide serves as a strategic advisor to prominent companies in the energy, construction, and aviation sectors, Tulcan Energy, Poa Adit Nigeria Limited, and Afloat Limited.
Olamide is also committed to improving the lives of underprivileged women by empowering them to become entrepreneurs through the “The CEO Women” program. She is an enthusiastic national development advocate for Nigeria and a John Maxwell Certified leadership consultant. She feels that educating people to Adopt the tenets of leadership will have a significant effect on individual and group development. Her core principles are Gratitude, Attitude, and Integrity.
